The beauty of microscale structures for halide perovskites

A four-panel composite of grayscale SEM images showing a mix of crystalline structures. The top panels feature large, rectangular block crystals interspersed with dense mats of thin, needle-like fibers. The bottom panels provide higher-magnification views of the same materials, emphasizing the sharp, clean edges of the prisms against the delicate needles. Scale bars in yellow indicate sizes ranging from 20µm to 50µm.

Description
Solution-synthesized perovskite CH3NH3PbBr3 display high-crystallinity versatile structures at micrometer scale — wires, cubes and plates, which enable well-defined research of this material on the settings of optics, electronics, optoelectronics, such as solar cells, lasers, photodetectors, and light-emitting diodes.
