Description
Pear Lake, located in Sequoia Kings Canyon national park, sits at 9,550 ft elevation, far above the giant sequoias, which exist between 4,000 and 8,000 ft. Its close proximity to the Central Valley in California provides a unique opportunity to study the wide reaching impacts of human agriculture and the use of copper as a fungicide as it is atmospherically deposited in the remote high elevation lake ecosystems of central California.
