Description

I captured this sunset during our April 2024 research cruise in the northern Benguela Upwelling System off the coast of Namibia, which was also my first research cruise. As part of the evening shift, I helped filter seawater from the CTD (conductivity, temperature, and depth) device for recovery of microbial biomass. The beautiful sunsets were definitely one of the things I most looked forward to every day.
